Year 2

Welcome to Year 2!
We’re so excited to share this important year of your child’s learning journey with you. Year 2 is full of curiosity, independence, and discovery, and we’ll be working closely together to support your child’s growth both in and out of the classroom.

  • Science: Investigating the world around us through topics like plants, animals, materials, and seasonal changes.
  • History & Geography: Learning about important people and events, exploring maps, and understanding the local and wider world.
  • Art & Design Technology: Encouraging creativity through painting, drawing, model making, and practical projects.
  • PE: Developing movement, teamwork, and healthy habits.
  • PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education): Building friendships, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.
