Welcome to Year 3

Welcome to Year 3's class page. We are a class of very enthusiastic learners who always try their best! Our class teacher is Mr Thompson-Allen and we have Miss Greenwood who is our teaching assistant. On Thursday afternoons we have Mr Conroy who teaches us RE and Coach Harris who teaches us PE.

Key Days and Dates

Our PE days are Monday and Thursday- please make sure that we are wearing the correct active uniform on these days. Our Library day is Tuesday- please remember to bring your library book in on Tuesday to update them.

Swimming will be starting later in the year-Feb 2026 and more information will be given closer to the time.

Parent's Evenings are Tuesday 18th / Thursday 20th November 2025 (for Autumn) and Tuesday 24th/ Thursday 26th March 2026 (Spring).

Our Year 3 Class Assembly will be Thursday 30th April 2026- Make sure the date is in your diary!

Homework and Reading at Home

Homework is posted on Seesaw on Fridays. The English and Maths homework are due the following Wednesday and the Spellings will be tested on the Friday. They will still be available to access on Seesaw until Friday. We do expect children to read daily at home and it to be recorded in the reading diary. Once they have been read, we are able to change them. If you are reading any books at home- please write them in the reading diary too! The reading diaries are for all reading and not just the school assigned books.

The QR and Login details for Seesaw, Timestables Rockstars and Edshed are stuck in the front of the children's homework books. These are great online resources to practice your spellings and time table facts!
